Privacy Policy
This policy explains what ArgosX collects, why, and what choices you have. We aim to collect only what we need to test your app and run the service.
1. What we collect
- Account data — your email and authentication details when you sign in.
- Test inputs — the app URL you submit, its category, and any test credentials you provide. Credentials are encrypted, scoped to a single test, and auto-expire.
- Test outputs — findings, scores, screenshots and session recordings we generate while testing your app. We create these; they are not data taken from you or your users.
- Usage data — standard logs (IP, browser, timestamps) used for security and to operate the service.
2. How we use it
To perform the tests you request, deliver your results, secure and improve the service, and communicate with you about your tests. We do not sell your personal data.
We also use the results we generate to improve ArgosX itself — learning which failures recur across apps so future tests catch more. This learning is aggregated and carries no link to you, your account or your app.
3. Test credentials
Credentials you supply are stored encrypted, used only to test the app you submitted, scoped to that test cycle, and automatically deleted after the scope expires (by default within 7 days).
4. Sharing
We share data only with service providers who help us run ArgosX (e.g. hosting, database, payment and AI providers) under confidentiality obligations, or where required by law. Score cards are only public if you choose to share them.
5. Retention
Different things are kept for different periods, because they are different kinds of data:
- Test outputs we generate — findings, scores, evidence and the testing knowledge derived from them are our own work product, created by us when we test a URL. We retain them indefinitely, both to serve you and to improve how ArgosX tests every app. They are not deleted on request, though we will disconnect them from your identity (see below).
- Aggregated testing knowledge — the failure patterns we learn across all apps are stored without any link to you or your app, and are kept indefinitely as part of the service.
- Test credentials you provide — deleted automatically once the test scope expires (see section 3).
- Your account and contact details — kept while your account is active, and deleted on request.
- Technical logs — IP addresses and similar log data are kept only as long as needed for security, abuse prevention and rate limiting, then removed or anonymized.
6. Deletion and your rights
Email support@getargosx.com to close your account. We will delete your account, your login and contact details, and any test credentials you supplied.
We do not delete the test outputs we generated. Those are our work product, produced from testing a URL you authorized us to test, and they remain part of our testing knowledge. Where they are linked to you, we de-identify them so they are no longer associated with you or your account.
Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to access, correct or export your personal data. To exercise them, email the address above.
7. Security
We use encryption in transit and at rest, scoped credentials, and least-privilege access. No system is perfectly secure, but protecting your data is core to what we do.
8. Changes
We may update this policy; material changes will be posted here with a new effective date.
